Canoe

• As a general rule, this activity will operate in the event of rain, however if the guide feels that there is a danger to participants, the timings may change or the activity may be cancelled. In such an event we request your understanding.
• You will get wet in the event you capsize; please wear clothing made from polyester. Jeans are not permitted. Please bring windbreakers, rain wear and a change of clothing with you. Wear footwear that it Ok to get wet, such as sneakers etc. Even if you do not get wet in the water, you will get wet through perspiration, a change of clothing and a towel are essential when taking part in this activity.
• If you do not have the correct types of clothing rental items are available.
• If you wear eye glasses (If you use contact lenses, change to eye glasses for the activity), please attach a cord to your glasses.
• Participants must be older than 4 years of age to participate, if you have children younger than 4 years of age, please talk to us regarding the possibility of participation.
• Remember this is a nature activity, follow the instructions of the guide at all times, please act responsibly and look out for your own safety at all times.

Nature walk/ Trekking

• In the event of a dense fog, heavy rain or adverse weather conditions, this activity maybe cancelled.
• Wear clothing that allows ease of movement, and which you do not mind getting dirty or wet.
• Jeans are prohibited when trekking, provide your own raincoat (both jacket and trousers). If you are going on a nature trek then jeans are acceptable.
• Shoes should be well worn in and suitable for walking in the mountains.
• If you are going on a full day trek, bring your own packed lunch. Irrespective of whether you are going on a half day nature walk or a full day walk, bring something to drink.
• You will be in a natural environment, which can be unpredictable. Please ensure follow the guides instructions at all times. Act responsibly and look out for your own safety at all times.

Fishing

• In adverse weather conditions or when the water in the river is murky, or when the river levels rise or in other situations where this activity can not be safely undertaken, we reserve the right to cancel the activity.
• When you go fishing the guide will determine the fishing spot based on age, number of participants, weather conditions, river conditions.
• All fish caught will be released. You will be required to bait your own hooks.
• Fishing will be undertaken in natural river settings, it is not guaranteed that you will catch a fish.
• You will be in a natural environment, please follow the directions of the guide at all times. Act responsibly and look out for your own safety at all times.

Winter Activities

• Please wear ski wear and other warm clothing.
• Gloves, caps, goggles, sunglasses, thick soled footwear are necessary equipment.
• In the event of adverse weather or if there is a snow blizzard, these activities will be cancelled. Depending on the program selected you program may be cancelled due to operations of the lifts at the ski fields. We request your advance understanding in situations that are beyond our control.
• If you are using our courtesy pick up and drop off service, we will pick you up and take you to the location of the activity and return you to the same location following the activity. Please pay the guide in cash directly. Prepare the exact amount required for the activity.
• If you do not have ski wear, please ask. Rental skiwear is available for 1620 yen.

If your activity is cancelled

• In the adverse weather conditions and sometimes when the conditions of the location that the activity is going to be undertaken in, there is no choice but to cancel the tour/activity. In this situation we will contact the customer directly, please ensure to provide us with a telephone number where someone can be reached, like a mobile telephone. In this case no cancel fee will be charged.
• Niseko Outdoor Center retains the right to cancel tours and activities.
• If you wish to cancel a reservation that you have made for your own reasons and you do not advice us in advance then the following cancellation fees apply.
  • Cancellations the day prior attract a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations on the day attract a 100% cancellation fee.

Free Courtesy pick up and drop off service.

• This service is provided for customers who do not have their own form of transport. If you have a car and can make your own way to the Niseko Outdoor Center, please do so.
• Free pick ups and drop offs are only conducted within a 10 kilometre radius of the Niseko Outdoor Center.
